About the Play
Quindaro was originally commissioned by the graduate theatre program of the University of Missouri in Kansas City. It is a project conceived by visiting professor Ricardo Khan and written by nationally known playwright Kathleen McGhee-Anderson. With over 30 characters, it tells the story of the founding of Quindaro, a town that figured prominently in the history of the Civil War and the Undergrouond Railroad.
